Fishing at Turks PondTrout fishing at Bruce Spruce Ranch

Bruce Spruce Ranch is located in prime trout fishing country. With two stocked trout ponds on the ranch, fishing can begin right out your front door.

Turks Pond is a catch and keep pond with rainbow trout perfect for someone who wants fish for dinner or wants to teach a young angler how to fish. We stock this pond with trout 12-18” long. Berkley’s Power Bait or Power Worms, flies and lures will entice these fish and are available in town. It costs to catch and keep 3 fish per permit, call us for pricing. No releasing is allowed. Multiple people may fish under one permit as long as only 3 fish are caught per permit. If you wish to catch more than 3 fish, you’ll need to purchase another permit.

Successful day fishingOur second pond, the lower pond, is sure to bring a challenge to the experienced fly fisherman. This is a catch and release fly rod only pond bringing an opportunity to catch trophy size browns and rainbows. Every year we add around 10 browns, 3-4 lbs each. These fish are known to snap your lure off or take your flies so make sure you bring extra of both. Dry flies and nymphs work well. Come wet a fly and see if you can catch one of the “big guys.” Call us for pricing for 4 hours.
